Our Story

How We Came to Be

Lauren:

I had all but given up on dating, choosing instead to focus on my own spiritual and healing journey. Then, in 2021, a trip to Arizona changed everything. I met with a psychic who told me that in the spring, I would meet the love of my life. "Don’t lose hope," they said. They went on to describe him:

"Your soulmate is a wise man, quick-thinking and kind. He spreads love wherever he goes, appreciating life’s beauty like a sunbeam after the storm. He loves to learn, dresses in black, and has a natural way with children."

It sounded beautiful, but I didn’t think much of it at the time.

Months later, I found myself wondering if I should give love one last shot. That’s when I met Navar on a dating app. Our conversation was effortless, and something about him just felt different. I sent his picture to my friends with a simple message: "Look at this cute guy—I think I’m going to give it a shot."

Our first date was at a brewery, and as we talked and laughed, something inside me shifted. I texted my friends again, this time saying, "I think I’m in love."

From that moment on, Navar showed me what love truly is. Even after my cat, Sushi, attacked him (they’re best buds now, by the way), he kept coming back. He would surprise me before work with coffee, flowers, and new plants—small gestures that meant everything. Piece by piece, he broke down my walls, and I realized this man wasn’t just special—he was the one.

Then, in the most perfect full-circle moment, Navar proposed at the very same brewery where our journey began. I was completely caught off guard, but there was no hesitation—yes, a million times yes.

Navar:

I wasn’t actively looking for love when Lauren came into my life, but something about her profile caught my eye. She radiated warmth, kindness, and an undeniable light. Our first conversation felt so natural, and I knew I had to meet her.

From the moment she walked into the brewery on our first date, I was hooked. We talked for hours, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was to be with her. It felt like I had known her forever.

Falling for Lauren wasn’t something I had to think about—it just happened. She made everything brighter, funnier, and more meaningful. Even when her cat, Sushi, decided I was an intruder that needed to be dealt with, I wasn’t going anywhere. I saw Lauren’s heart in the way she cared for those around her, in the way she loved animals, and in the way she made me feel like I was the luckiest guy in the world.

I knew early on that she was the one, and when it came time to propose, I wanted it to be at the place where it all began. Seeing the surprise and joy on her face when I asked her to marry me was one of the best moments of my life.

Now, as we step into forever together, I know there’s nothing we can’t face. She is my best friend, my love, my home. And I cannot wait to spend a lifetime making her as happy as she makes me.

To whatever end.
